I've owned and loved this guitar since 1981. Asking $429. Vintage late 1970's. All original. Great sound. Very good condition for the year. I would give it 8 out of 10 for the year. Mahogany back and sides, spruce top, bone nut, East Indian rosewood fret-board. Great string spacing for easy playing. This Yamaha was modeled after the Martin and it shows. No mechanical problems at all. Bridge, neck, frets are all fine and the truss rod works fine as well. Just restrung with new Diaddario 12's. Please see the pictures before asking questions.
Aged Beautifully / Sounds Fantastic / Rich, Deep, Sweet Sound that this aged wood produces / sounds far better than the day I bought it in 81' / only reason I'm selling is a friend gave me a screaming deal on a Takamine lawsuit 12 string, and I don't need two. You will be hard pressed to find a 12 string that sounds and looks like this in this price range. Original price in 1977 would be well over $900 in 2014 dollars - a higher end Yamaha. Having a passive pick-up put in today would cost another $150.
